Dante Russo thrives on control, both personally and professionally. Overall, I really liked this book! There was some set up for other characters in the series which I’m really excited for.A brand new steamy billionaire romance from the bestselling author of the Twisted series. Yes, he was possessive, but there was something about him that didn’t feel so toxic. However, as I mentioned above, I liked everything about this book better than her others including the MMC. Much like Huang’s other books, the MMC was a possessive, billionaire type. There were so many unexpected sweet moments between them, despite their situation. I love an arranged marriage/marriage of convenience so this was right up my alley. They were each strong in their own way, had family problems they were working on, and were not ready to fall in love with each other.
I liked both Vivian and Dante as characters. Mostly, it’s Christian from Twisted Lies, but there are a couple of moments with other characters. This book is set in the same world as the Twisted series so we see some characters from that series in this book. I liked the characters better and the plot was more engaging. The writing felt more mature, more developed. However, I’m pleased to say I loved this one. Neither was the worst thing she could possibly do: fall in love with her future husband.Īfter not loving the last two books I read from Ana Huang ( Twisted Love, Twisted Games) I was feeling skeptical about this one.
